How to import contacts into Gmail

This tutorial will show you how to import contacts from other mail clients into Gmail.

Before you begin, you’ll need a contact list that you exported from your old mail client in CSV or vCard format.

Click Gmail drop-down icon, then click Contacts.

Click the More drop-down menu, then click Import.

Choose the CSV or Vcard file option.

Since this version of Google Contacts doesn’t support the importing function, we’ll need to switch to the old version.

Click Import Contacts.

Click Choose file to find your file.

Select the file to import, then click Open.

Finally, click the Import button.

That’s it! The 6 contacts have been imported successfully and can be seen here.

This is the end of the tutorial. You now know how to import contacts into Gmail.
