What is Litespeed Cache (aka LSCache) for WordPress, and why is it installed on my sites?

Litespeed Cache for WordPress (LSCWP) is a free and open-source WordPress plugin that we use to improve the performance and responsiveness of your site while drastically reducing the CPU, disk IO, and PHP process requirements for handling high levels of traffic. You can find benchmarks for the plugin here: LSCWP Benchmarks.

LSCWP is an all-in-one site acceleration solution with advanced cache-management tools and optimisation features. It’s the only optimization plugin you need!

To improve site performance and customer experience, the webserver software that we use, called LiteSpeed, will automatically scan and install the LSCache WordPress plugin on the customer’s website, which runs the CMS WordPress.

The LSCache plugin is fully supported with all configurations; therefore, it should not cause any interruption to service or conflict with existing plugins. Once LSCache is installed and enabled, you should see a significant improvement in the overall performance of your WordPress sites.

If you wish to manually install the plugin for new sites or disable caching and prevent future automatic installations, please refer to this KB article: Enable, disable, or flag WordPress installations with LSCWP.
